New Camera - what would you shoot first?

I've just got a brand new, uber cool Digital SLR (Canon 500D) with some nice lenses. I'm a bit of a novice to quality photography - my previous experience is with point-and-shoot holiday snaps!

I think I've got the hang of the basic settings in the last few days and, aside from terrorising my friends and colleagues with it I'm looking for ideas for things to shoot and ways to improve my photos.

We had our first decent frost here this morning and, on my walk in to work, I managed to stop for a moment.

Where should I go with it next?
