Mushrooms, mushrooms everywhere!!!

Well today it seems like everywhere you look there are mushrooms. I'm no expert unfortunately but judging by the quantity and variety we saw in our afternoon stroll there must be some edible varieties around.

Summer has rather abruptly ended here, and September has started off soggy but warm which probably has something to do with it. The colours are amazing - delicate lime green toadstools, deep red slimy bracket fungii and swathes of orange and browns little parasoles.

The star of the day was probably the patch of simply huge, plate sized mushroom. I've no idea what they were, but they were very impressive.

If I can work out how to get the photos off my blackberry I'll add a few.
