egg boxes and parachute pitching

re fire lighting with egg boxes tip the excess fat from the cooking pan into the box and let it set. when lighting the fire you can use a section at a time as an effective long burning fire lighter.

when pitching up a parachute shelter save on poles and pegs. hoist up the middle and establish a perimeter rope at head height. then tie out the edges to the perimeter rope using running cordage or bungees.
I admit that a limitation is finding a tall tree for the middle hoist with a ring of trees around it but such places can be found.
nice to know that there are lots of us lighting fires in the woods and having a go at making things
