News Flash

The DECC just announced a series of Feed In Tarrifs (FITs) aimed to increase the uptake in renewable energy use in the the UK. This includes cash for homeowners who install wood burning stoves to off-set gas use in the home. This could be worth up to £450 per tonne of dry firewood burnt. Of course, the devil is in the detail and no announcements have yet been made regarding how this will be administered. Still, this could provide a massive boost to both the firewood and stove markets in the coming years.
