Woodland Diary - Flora and Fauna

One of the great things about having a piece of woodland to call your own is that you end up really looking at it. Small changes from week to week and month to month really stand out. Every single time I've been down I've noticed something new or changed.

Our most recent trip down was overrun with fungii of all sorts - every where you looked a different type of toadstool or mushroom was sprouting from a fallen tree, or erupting through the leaf litter. Colours vary hugely from lime green through to purple. Some are the size of plates, others little bigger than a thumbtack.
